Strong Beach Friends

I had a great deal of anxiety about the transfer process during my Sanibel trip. Our first floor condo was still up two small flights of steps making it impossible to get my power wheelchair up and a lot of planning and muscles to get my failing body up. I still have a little leg strength but not enough to even do one small step. We borrowed a manual wheelchair and purchased a head and neck insert to fully support my body. We transferred like this 14 times — into and out of our condo once a day for seven days. Sometimes I laughed, sometimes I prayed, and sometimes I just looked at the beach bodies in front of me. Lots of Team Dewey members at Casa Ybel Resort . ❤️💪🏽
